Warmonder bos, opnieuw

Last Wednesday we went to the Warmonderbos (Huys the Warmont, reigerbos) for a walk. On Monday we had a heavy storm, along the coast 11BF. Several of the trees in the forest were fallen over or broken. There were lots of mushrooms, but you had to search well for them, they were mostly hidden. After the heavy storm and lots of rain on Tuesday, we were very lucky to have a dry and quiet day on Wednesday and it wasn't very cold either. Thursday is raining again.
Vorige woensdag gingen we naar het Warmonderbos (Huys te Warmont, reigerbos) om te wandelen. Op maandag hadden we een stevige storm, langs de kust zelfs windkracht 11. Verscheidene van de bomen waren omgevallen ofwel gebroken in het bos. Er waren aardig wat zwammen, maar je moest wel zoeken, ze waren goed verstopt en/of gecamoufleerd. Na de storm en nog dinsdag met veel regen hadden we mazzel dat woensdag een droge, rustige dag was en niet eens koud ook. Donderdag regent het alweer.

 

huis te Warmont

Last Wednesday, 25 Sept, I went for a walk in the park of Huis te Warmont. It's a lovely forest with many old trees and I know there grow lots and lots of mushrooms, but there weren't many above ground now. The weather was lovely, I didn't need my stole at all. I love trees and the many shapes they have. I love the meadows you can see from the edge of the park, with cows and houseboats. The last pictures are of the house itself.
Afgelopen woensdag, 25 sept., ging ik wandelen bij Huis te Warmont. Een mooi bos met heel veel oude bomen. Gewoonlijk staan er heel veel paddestoelen, maar deze keer waren ze nog ondergronds. Het was verrukkelijk weer, kon m'n stola aflaten. Ik ben gek op bomen en hun vele mooie vormen. Je kunt over de weilanden uitkijken aan de rand van 't park, met koeien en woonboten.
