WIPs

 Here I'm working on stumpwork pollard willows for a cq rr block. It's my design so I sincerily hope that my plan will work out.
Ik ben hier bezig met stumpwork knotwilgen voor een cq rr blok. Het is mijn ontwerp dus ik hoop van harte dat dit gaat werken.

 For the same block I'm making stumpwork sheep for in the meadow. This should work fine.
Voor hetzelfde blok maak ik stumpwork schaapjes in de wei. Dat zou goed moeten lukken.

 Painting birds onto cotton. Line drawing, sample to paint from and a mug of tea. I'm ready to go.
Vogels schilderen op katoen. Lijntekening, voorbeeld voor de kleuren en een beker thee. Ik ben er klaar voor.

This scarf is made from bamboo sock yarn. Lovely soft. Muted colors for my sil. A present for her birthday.
Deze sjaal is gemaakt van bamboe sokkengaren. Lekker zacht. Zachte kleuren voor m'n schoonzus. Een kadootje voor haar verjaardag.

 Here you see the twist in the scarf, It's a Möbius.
Hier zie je de draai in de sjaal. Het is een Möbius.

This one is for Jose. I had 3 skeins of this woolmix and she loved the colors.
Deze is voor Jose. Ik had nog 3 bollen van deze wolmix en ze vond de kleuren mooi.

 This is the first I crocheted. This one is for me. This is also a woolmix. The dark one for Jose and this one for me are both made from Wibra yarns. Lovely color uh?
Dit is de eerste die ik haakte. Deze is voor mij. Het is ook een wolmix. De donkere voor Jose en deze voor mij zijn allebei van Wibragaren gemaakt. Mooie kleur hè?

 I really regret that this line of colors is sold out.
Ik vind het heel jammer dat deze kleurlijn uitverkocht is.

Last but not least the Möbius in proces for Mandy.
This is a bamboo yarn again.
Als laatste een Möbius in de maak. Deze is voor Mandy. Bamboe garen.

As you can see: the center of the scarf is made up from granny squares. Then rows of granny stripes are crocheted around and around. Finished with a scaloped edge.
Zoals je kunt zien: het midden van de sjaal is gemaakt van vierkantjes. Daarna zijn rijen strepen rondom gehaakt met als laatste een rand schulpen.

vogel en nest

 This is the first bird I made from the book "the artful bird" by Abigail Patner Glassenberg. I didn't want to make a realistic bird. I picked white fabric with a small blue dot. I embroidered the wings and added lace to the edge of the wings, the tail and the head. I made the nest from wire that I covered with strips of white fabric and threads and a hint of blue. Blue beads for eyes and beak from white felt.
Dit is de eerste vogel die ik uit het boek "the artful bird" van Abigail Patner Glassenberg heb gemaakt. Ik wilde geen realistische vogel maken. Ik heb witte stof met een klein blauw
   stipje gebruikt. Ik heb de vleugels geborduurd en verder de vleugelranden, de start en de kop versierd met kant. Ik heb van metaaldraad een nest gemaakt dat ik heb omwikkeld met repen witte stof en witte garens en hier en daar een beetje blauw. Blauwe kraaltjes als ogen en een snavel van wit vilt.

 I'm participating in a fiber book page swap on stitchin fingers. My theme is birds/funky birds. This is the first page I received. It's made by Shelly Recicar. I love this truly funky bird!
Ik doe mee met een ruil van textielpagina's van stitchin fingers. Mijn thema is vogels/hippe vogels. Dit is de eerste pagina die ik heb ontvangen. Hij is gemaakt door Shelly Recicar. Ik vind dit een superhippe vogel.

 Here's the backside of the page. Adorable flamingo's and a pretty envelope that contains a letter. Love it.
Dit is de achterkant van de pagina. Snoezige flamingo's en een mooie envelop die een brief bevat. Zo leuk.

 This is the page I made for Susie Hamsho.
Her theme is "things I like to see".  well, there are many things I like to see, but this time I chose for the warm colors of hand dyed fabrics plus embellishments.
Dit is de pagina die ik voor Susie Hamsho heb gemaakt. Haar thema is "dingen die ik graag zie". ik heb gekozen voor de mooie kleuren van handgeverfde katoen en borduurwerk en versiering. daar houd ik van.

textielboek is af

 I have finally finished my fiberbook. I received these pages through a swap on stitchin'  fingers. This swap was way back in 2010.  My theme was Jugendstil or Art Nouveau. 
Here you see the front page that I added. I applied a screenprint onto one of my hand dyed cottons. I ironed on the pattern of the twig and painted it in. The lettering was copied from a book and colored with fineliner.

Eindelijk heb ik m'n textielboek afgemaakt.  Deze pagina's zijn van een ruil in 2010 via stitchin'  fingers.
Mijn thema was Jugendstil, in ons land ook wel slaoliestijl genoemd. 
Hier zie je de voorpagina die ik zelf heb gemaakt. Ik heb een screenprint op een van m'n handgeverfde stoffen aangebracht. Vervolgens heb ik een strijkpatroon opgestreken en die ingeschilderd. Als laatste heb ik de letters uit een boek overgenomen en ingekleurd.
