Here's the little felted piece that I've sewn onto a background in the same colors. The blue cotton is snow dyed. I will add embroidery to finish it.

I couldn't find the right green cotton to crochet the lace border so I settled for brown and I think it looks good. I now have finished only one border. I found the pattern at the antiquelibrary
Ik kon geen groen haakgaren voor de kanten rand vinden dat bij de vilt paste dus heb ik bruin genomen en ik vind het mooi staan zo. Ik heb nu 1 rand af en nog 1 te gaan. Het patroon heb ik gevonden in de antiquelibrary.

 I received this page from Frances in Australia. The theme is funky bird. Frances didn't have to make one up, because they have plenty examples alive down under. This is the emu.

Ik heb deze funky bird pagina van Francis gekregen. Zij hoefde er niet eentje te bedenken want ze woont in Australië want daar lopen ze gewoon in 't echie rond. Dit is een emoe.

 Here we have a kingfisher made by Teresa. Such a cute translation from an existing bird to this fantasy bird. Can you tell Teresa is from Australia as well?
Dit is een "kingfisher" oftewel een ijsvogel, gemaakt door Teresa. Het is een heel grappige vertaling van het woord kingfisher naar een verzonnen vogel. Teresa woont ook in Australië.

I made this page for Helen. She asked for sayings. This page says: vis moet zwemmen or in English fish has to swim. This means that when you eat fish you get thirsty so you have to drink. I think this saying is typical for the Netherlands. Do any of you living abroad know this saying? Page is still traveling all the way to South Africa.

I've been making this wave onto soluvlies on the machine. It was meant to be added below the fish but the wave grew too big so I used it on the back.
Ik heb deze golf op soluvlies op de machine gestikt. 't Was de bedoeling dat deze onder de vis kwam, maar de golf werd te groot. Op de achterkant doet ie 't ook goed. 

Shelly asked for a vintage page with a bird. I had to color the lace and the fabric below the blue lace in tea. The backgrond fabric was left to dry all scrunched up to get an uneven pattern.
I decorated the peacock with wax pearls and the blue lace with ivory colored little beads.
Shelly wilde een vintage pagina met een vogel. Ik heb alles behalve het blauwe kant gekleurd in thee. De achtergrondlap heb ik in een prop laten drogen om een patroon in de stof te krijgen. Ik heb de pauw versierd met waspareltjes en het blauwe kant met ivoorkleurige kraaltjes.

This is the page I made for Frances. Here theme is flowers/gardens. This theme is right up my alley. I used fabric woven fabric strips of my hand dyed fabric. Silk flowers and leaves.
Deze pagina heb ik voor Frances gemaakt. Haar thema is bloemen/tuinen. Dit past helemaal bij mij. Ik heb stroken stof gevlochten. Bloemen van zo'n Hawaï slinger  in drieën gevouwen en kunstbladeren opgenaaid.

 Above is the page I made for Teresa in Australia. Her theme is travel. Well, in spring many tourists come to my country to see the bulb fields. So I created bulb fields that I filled with embroidery. All made from hand dyed fabric. The sun is from a silk cocon, a present from my friend Gonneke. At the left the backside of the page.
Hierboven de pagina die ik voor Teresa in Australië heb gemaakt. Haar thema is reizen. In de lente komen veel toeristen naar mijn land om de bollenvelden te bewonderen. Dus heb ik bollenvelden uitgebeeld die ik heb gevuld met borduurwerk. Alles gemaakt van handgeverfde stof. De zon is van een zijdecocon, een kadoothe van mijn vriendin Gonneke.  I'm participating in a fiber book page swap on stitchin fingers. My theme is birds/funky birds. This is the first page I received. It's made by Shelly Recicar. I love this truly funky bird!
Ik doe mee met een ruil van textielpagina's van stitchin fingers. Mijn thema is vogels/hippe vogels. Dit is de eerste pagina die ik heb ontvangen. Hij is gemaakt door Shelly Recicar. Ik vind dit een superhippe vogel.
