Diva challenge 142 and more

This week the Diva challenges us to go out of our confortzone. Well, that's a natural state of mind for me. Funny thing is, that last night in bed I was thinking I always tend to fill up the entire page when tangling. See top (blue) picture of a page I did over last week when I felt restless and uneasy. It's filled to the brim. So, for me, the challenge is: leave space, keep it open.
Here's no 1 for the challenge. I used new to me zentangles, popsicle, organza and furrballs. There is space, but I did catch myself filling space with the furrballs. It should have been a few here and there, in stead of the bow.
Second entry. This time only 1 new tangle for me: cruffle and my favorites tipple and CO2. This one worked better. What do you think?
Poging nr 2. Deze keer slechts 1 nieuwe tangle: cruffle. Tipple en CO2 zijn favorieten van mij. Hier is meer open ruimte. Is 't gelukt? Wat vind je?
I was one of the lucky winners of this book, a giveaway of the Diva. I sent my info after the deadline, but received the book anyway. I'm over the moon. It's beautiful.
This is a little present for a friend who I'm trying to get into zentangle. I made this booklet for her. The front is a viewcard sent in 1936. Below is the backside I made. First I drew the tangles, then I stenciled the cat on top.

All beautifully done. I tend to "stuff" my tiles too. They do look nice with some space. That being said, I LOVE the cat tile!

You did well with your challenge. I am not sure what it is about it but I have heard others comment that they have a hard time leaving space. I also felt at first that every space had to be filled in. I think they both styles have their merits. I do like these tiles. You may have made these a little more a part of your comfort zone.

Ik vind ze allebei erg mooi.

So good! I have an issue with spatial balance as well... it's like being driven to fill the page because for some reason it doesn't feel FINISHED until there is no more room to put anything else. You did a great job holding that back, you should totally pat yourself on the back!

Beautifully done - I love white space, but am finding it more and more difficult to leave some as my interest and knowledge of new tangles develops! Good reminder to step back or stop earlier sometimes - thanks. I LOVE your tangled cat!!!
