Leeuwenhorstbos in Noordwijk (Pasen)

My sister in law and I took Kayleigh, their dog, for a walk at the Leeuwenhorstbos in Noordwijk. Again flowers all around, soft green new leaves and lovely weather.

Mijn schoonzus en ik namen Kayleigh, hun hond, mee voor een wandeling in het Leeuwenhorstbos in Noordwijk. Ook deze keer overal bloemen, het frisse groen van jong blad en verrukkelijk weer.

Pam's Woodland and Forest RR block

This is what the block looks like after Tammie and I worked on it.

I have added the seam treatments, SRE honeysuckle, fern and peacock.

Dit is het blok van Pam nadat Tammie en ik er aan gewerkt hebben. Ik heb een aantal naden geborduurd, de varen, kamperfoelie en als laatste de pauw toegevoegd.

The fern is done in double cast-on stitch. The young leaves are done in whipped chain stitch. I've used perlé yarn.

Ik heb de varen geborduurd in een dubbele cast-on steek, dat kan vertaald worden in opzetsteek. De jonge gekrulde bladeren zijn gedaan in omgeslingerde kettingsteek.

No forest without honeysuckle. I love its sweet scent. Done with silk ribbon and leaves are done in fly-stitch.

Geen bos zonder kamperfoelie, die heerlijke zoete geur. Geborduurd met zijdelint en de bladeren zijn geborduurd in de vliegsteek.

Peacock dyed in blue and purple only. The teal blue and peacock green wouldn't have matched with this block. Lots of facetted lilac beads in the tail.

Pauw geverfd in blauw en paars. De turkoois en pauwgroen van de echte pauw zouden niet harmoniëren met dit blok. De staart is versierd met facetkralen.

I'm crocheting this lace curtain for my window in the kitchen. I found this gorgeous pattern in the Antique Library.

I cleaned up my drawers and found an  appliqué project. All fabrics hand dyed and all shaped cut and ready to appliqué. I have finished 4 of them, only one more to go. I have to patch 4 more blocks to finish all blocks for this quilt. I'm considering making log cabin blocks.

Ik heb mijn lades opgeruimd en kwam een applicatieproject tegen. Alle stoffen zelf geverfd en alle patroondelen kant en klaar geknipt, klaar om te appliceren. Ik heb inmiddels 4 blokken af, nog 1 te gaan. Hierna nog 4 patchworkblokken maken en dan zijn alle blokken voor deze quilt klaar. Ik denk erover log cabin blokken te maken.

I'm quilting a small quilt with appliqué, a moose, bears, birds, pine trees, stars. Minoes is determined to sit on this quilt no matter how I move it into all directions. Made from hand dyed fabrics only, except for the black fabric.

Ik ben een klein applicatiequiltje aan het quilten. Eland, beren, vogels, dennen, sterren. Minoes is niet van plan om van dit quiltje af te gaan, maakt niet uit hoe ik 't schuif en draai. Alle stoffen, behalve het zwart van de beren, is door mij geverfd.

Pale yellow background is filled with stippling.

Lichtgele achtergrond is gemeanderd.
