Tonny and I have been to the exhibition of Vlisco's in the museum of etnology in Leiden. We've seen lots of great fabrics, very inspiring. The story behind them is interesting.Vlisco's are batiks made in the Netherlands for the African market. Lots of the prints have cute names and special meanings. The prints are bold and colorfull. Tonny en ik zijn naar een tentoonstelling van Vlisco's geweest in Volkenkunde in Leiden. We hebben prachtige stoffen gezien, heel inspirerend. Het verhaal van de Vlisco's is interessant. Vlisco's zijn batiks die gemaakt worden in Nederland voor de Afrikaanse markt. Veel van de prints hebben grappige namen en een speciale betekenis. De patronen zijn opvallend en kleurrijk. Hier kun je meer foto's zien.
